I have lived in the New Forest for most of my life and always enjoyed the uniqueness of the place, from the open heathland to the thickly wooded areas of ancient Oaks and Beeches.
My paintings are an outlet for my thoughts and emotions, my favourite places and things, the sea, beach huts, people, my garden birds, geese, houses and flowers.
Sometimes paintings just evolve on the paper or canvas. I start with a dash of colour and build it up and change it as I go until it means something to me and hopefully connects with the onlooker to touch them in some way so that it also means something to them.
