A ceramic artist based in a small village between Burley and Christchurch, on the edge of the New Forest National Park.
Amongst many things Helen particularly likes to make are one of a kind sculptures from clay decorated using oxides and glazes.
Helen chooses to work with stoneware clay as the clay vitrifies during firings at high temperatures, making the pieces suitable for outdoor (can withstand a light frost) as well as indoor placements.
Helen's recent collection is called Forest Dwellers & Elementals...
This collection is inspired by the beautiful New Forest and Dorset countryside. These beings from Folklore, mythology and Helen's imagination are the beings she imagines living in the forest; you know that feeling you get, when you go for a walk and feel a presence, but there is no one in sight! Well, if you are very quiet and still for long enough you may just catch a glimpse of a forest dweller!
